This force is characterized by the ruby stones scattered discreetly in the heart. Bright colors reflect all the energy that love can give. The "spash" side of the colors expresses the importance of spreading and sharing love. Where there is love there is life! This painting was inspired by a visit to the foundation ‘Moi pour Toit’ based in Colombia. Laura supports ‘Moi pour toit’ and helps the children of the streets of the province of Pereira. It is in this environment where children know nothing but violence and survival that Laura has, in particular with sessions of paintings with them, been touched by the courage and the joy of life these children have kept whilst facing their daily difficulties. Laura decided to paint Charlie Chaplin, in his role as the tramp, shooting a heart so that love spreads to all, was the perfect painting to show what Laura had felt through these children and her visit. As her grandfather once said ‘You need power only when you want to do something harmful, Otherwise love is enough to get everything done.’ This painting is a remind to share the positive, to spread what makes one feel good with themselves. Love comes at no cost, there are no barriers when it comes to love and everybody needs it!
