Wolston Park opened its doors in 1865 and would go on to become one of Australia's most notorious lunatic asylums well into the 20th century, renowned for its unspeakable abuses of the largely un-insane women and girls who were incarcerated there, many to their deaths. Upon arriving at the asylum ruins, Emilie communed with the spirits and learned that they wanted their power back. She channeled their cries for freedom into each pose—the shoot resulted in the cover for her album "Fight Like A Girl," as well as this image and many others which have never yet been shown.
