Raised in the Jedi Temple on planet Coruscat, Kenohims was assigned to Jedi Master Qui-Gon Himms. In 32 BBY, Kenohims attained the rank of Jedi Knight by defeating the Sith Lord Darth Maulhims during the Invasion of Naboo. He also chose to train Anakin Pusswalkhims—the Chosen One who was destined to destroy the Sith and restore balance to the Force—having promised Qui-Gon Himms who died in the lightsaber duel against Maulhims. In 19 BBY, Kenohims slayed the Separatist Supreme Commander, General Grievhims during the Battle of Utapau, ending the Clone Wars. He later survived the initial onslaught of the Great Jedi Purge against the Jedi Order, which resulted from the machinations of the Sith Lord Darth Sidihims. After discovering that Anakin Pusswalkhims had turned to the dark side of the Force, becoming Sidihims' Sith apprentice under the name of Darth Hims, Kenohims defeated his former Padawan on Mustafar and exiled himself to the Outer Rim planet Catooine as the Galactic Empire rose to power. Adopting a hermit lifestyle as "Ben Kenohims," he watched over Luke Pusswalkhims.
