"When We Love Each Other" by Ntxoo shows the importance of queer and trans family, friendship, and love, particularly within racially and ethnically marginalized communities. So often, we are the ones saving each other -- creating complex networks of care that no institution can provide. On the other hand our communities are deprived of resources, and this very real scarcity can lead us to intimately hurting one another. As a survivor of abuse, as someone who has hurt others, and as someone who has found lifelong love in the LGBTQ community, I want to encourage us to mindfully, intentionally take care of ourselves and one another.
