This work is a work drawn with respect to those who welcomed all 5 types of "Little Odango girl" series. ---------------------------- 彼女が美味しそうを食べているのは、「みたらしだんご」です。「みたらしだんご」は、京都の下鴨神社の祭礼で神前に奉納するために作られたお菓子です。一説によると、みたらしだんごは人間の体を模ったもので、これを神前に備えてお祈りし、それを持ち帰って醤油をつけて炙って食べることで、厄除けにしたのだそう。元々、みたらしだんごは生の醤油をつけ焼いたものでしたが、下鴨神社の門前にある茶屋で醤油に黒砂糖を入れ、とろみをつけた餡を組み合わせたみたらしだんごが考えられました。それが人気となり、今でも大勢の人に食べられる和菓子の一つとなったのですね。表面をほんのり焼き上げられた、香ばしい中にもちもちのおだんごの食感と、そこに絡まる砂糖と醤油の濃厚な餡…甘塩っぱい味がたまらなく、いくらでも食べられます。そんなみたらしだんごを、寝そべりながら美味しそうに食べている彼女の名は, 「望月桜（もちづき　さくら）」彼女は越後の名のある領主の一人娘で普段は凛として気品のある身のこなしですが、類稀なるおだんご好きで、おだんごに対する食い意地は誰にも止めることができないほど。よく晴れた春の朝、来客用に用意されていたおだんごがなくなって、家中がてんやわんやしている中、隠れてこっそり寝台で盗んだおだんごを食している、そんな彼女の日常の一幕をこの作品で描いています。沢山お菓子を自分のベットに持ち込んで、好きなだけ食べる背徳感は、誰しも感じたことがあるのではないでしょうか。こちらの作品は「Little Odango girl」シリーズ全5種をお迎えしてくださった方へ敬愛を込めて描きました。
