Ep1. Escape - Warsaw. Alexander: While walking the streets of Paris in search for images that reflect the ongoing dialogue with Irina about the situation in Dnipro, I came across this wall with disposed furniture. The disorder and the broken mirror, reflecting the building across the street, reminded me of someone who is leaving a place of destruction. Irina: I created this part of the collection in my hotel room in Warsaw where we were recuperating from exhausting 36h trip on a crowded refugee train from Ukraine. When I was thinking about what this photo speaks to me about, the blank "window" space and the house reflection in the broken mirror hit me with this association of escaping the home through a [non-existent] window.
