THE BROS STORY: I created the Bros honestly out of frustration. As a portrait photographer, I watched the NFT art scene explode and as it did I wanted to be part of it but didn't know how or where I fit in. I watched 10k generative projects take over, and thought "How can one person compete with teams of devs?" Then the landscape photography movement popped, and still I felt like portrait photographers didn't have a place. Is a beautiful portrait photo still not ART? So I decided to combine everything I saw, Art, Generative, Photography, and make my own project, but make it real. I had my good friend (Twitter: CryptoBeatniks) write a generative program that we could enter actual physical traits into (Physical items that I collected from all over) and have it kick out 100 random combinations, The Bros were manifested. I went to work and physically compiled, photographed and edited each individual combination/Bro in the collection, and honestly...it was a lot of gawd damn work. But Im glad I did it, because the Bros are so much more than what I had originally planned on them being. The Bros are for photographers, obviously, but the bros are also for anyone and everyone who has had trouble finding their place, in the world, in life, and especially in the NFT space. The goal with the Bros is to build a community of people that feel at home but that will also engage and help shape the direction of the Basic Bro Photographers. The truth is, I'm just one person, and I'll do my best to keep the Bros as exciting and innovative, fun, and potentially profitable as possible for the community...but the beauty of a REAL community is that your input as a community will greatly shape and help mold the Bros.
