Tian Xiaolei was born in Beijing in 1982, graduated from the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 2007, majoring in digital media, Bachelor degree. Actually he works and lives in Beijing. In 2016, he won the first Wang Shikuo Award, and held a solo exhibition named "I Wait For You --- Infinite Noumenon Time and Space" at Today Art Museum. His works have been collected by the important contemporary art institutions such as the Central Academy of Fine Arts Art Museum, Today Art Museum, Minsheng Art Museum, How Art Museum, Wang Shikuo Art Foundation, Songzhuang Art Museum, Meulensteen New York etc. Tian Xiaolei's works focuse on the relationship between man and technology. He is interested in the uncertainty of rapid iteration in this era, in the relationship between technology and life in future evolution, and in the new species born in this hybrid era. He uses an artist's perspective to create future world specimens, mixing history, beliefs, technology, and bodies, to create new artistic experiences. His works are very extensive, including images and installations, VR games, AR interactive experiences, 3D printed sculpture groups, and three-dimensional raster paintings.
