Art in motion is a piece inspired by the November 2016 issue of Bahrain this month. The air of serenity and display of unwavering trust between the two dancers performing their art drew me to this cover page. Their bodies, sculpted by years of practice and dedication, pulled taut in fierce but gentle precision, were something I wanted to capture in the painting. With acrylic paints and a steady hand, white and blue tones were used for costumes and highlights and a pure black background to bring focus to the dancers in the foreground. I hope to convey through my painting the pristine beauty, faith and determination of two people in a moment. -Tanvi Manikoth
