描述
This photo was taken at the Nachi Falls in Wakayama Prefecture. This waterfall is a large waterfall with a drop of 133 meters and a depth of 10 meters. This waterfall, which splashes wildly among trees, is one of the three major waterfalls in Japan and is also a World Heritage Site.
The waterfall has a long history as one of the centers of the Kumano faith, where ascetic monks have been practicing waterfall asceticism for about 1,300 years. I visited and photographed here during the rainy season. In the early morning, when it was very quiet, the whole area was covered with rain mist. The scenery carries a fantastic atmosphere that was beautiful but at the same time, supernatural.
