Casey was born the daughter of a small lord in the Eveningstar fiefdom. When she was five, her mother died in childbirth and her father became a recluse, drinking and gambling away what little remained of the family fortune. Developmentally stunted by the tragedy, Casey grew up resentful and angry. As a young woman, she found solace in the teachings of the local church. Casey became a cleric and quickly rose through the ranks of the hierarchy. When her father died, she inherited what little remained of his estate. She used her position and influence to help those who were downtrodden and oppressed - just as she had once been. Casey quickly gained a reputation as a champion of the people. The poor and needy flock to her for help and guidance, and she is more than happy to oblige. Her work has earned her the respect of both commoners and nobility alike.
