The moment we noticed the moon poking above the clouds invoked the instant photographer panic that comes on when nature starts showing off. I put on my telephoto lens immediately and started snapping photos as the full moon showed itself and started rising into the pastel colors of the sunset. We had no idea the full moon was rising that night but it made an already beautiful evening just that much more special. Landscape photography is a craft that requires a lot of planning but at the same time a lot of luck, and this was one of those lucky moments that will stick with me for a long time to come.
