“The colorful 3D humans that appear in Peter Burr’s works fall and pile up as if they were objects. This gives us a third-person perspective to the human form, which we naturally feel emotionally attached to. In ‘Mode Confusion,’ we see people walking aimlessly in the distance and beings who seem to be watching them from the foreground. A flashing plate stands in front of the people in the foreground, seemingly obstructing their line of sight. Looking at this work, one is left wondering where one’s point of view should be placed, and it stands in the way as a question. —exonemo

Peter Burr’s solo exhibition on Feral File, BOOMTOWN, was released on Feral File in December 2022. This exhibition featured eight original animations, each with 1,000 frames that are slowly revealed over the course of years.
