The artwork is about recognizability of cultural icons. It depicts one of the many possible interpretations of the famous "Girl with a Pearl Earring" by Johannes Vermeer, trying to estabilish a dialogue with the viewer's own true depiction of it. Icons exist in our collective mind only; we all relate to them through relative perception. Still, they retain their immanent, unknown essence. /
Marco is an architect turned artist who has been studying digital representation for two decades through multiple means. AI is now his medium of choice, in its balancing compositive, photographic and design features.
