Budgies, also known as parakeets, are small, colorful parrots native to Australia.
On a road trip to the back channels of Australia during the flooding event in 2022, Robert Downie and I encountered an flock of hundreds of of these bright green budgies. Trying to photograph these quick green birds as they flew around us was hard and delightful.
Because it was cloudy and my 200-600mm lens only goes to 5.6f.. I had to shoot with a high ISO, So even with a 1/1000 shutter, all these
Budgies turned out “blurry”.
