[salts](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salt_(chemistry)) of
[amphetamine](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amphetamine). The mixture is
composed of equal parts [racemic
amphetamine](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amphetamine) and
[dextroamphetamine](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dextroamphetamine),
which produces a (3:1) ratio between dextroamphetamine and
[levoamphetamine](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Levoamphetamine), the
two [enantiomers](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enantiomers) of
amphetamine. Both enantiomers are
[stimulants](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stimulants), but differ
enough to give Adderall an [effects
profile](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pharmacodynamics) distinct from
those of racemic amphetamine or dextroamphetamine, which are marketed as
Evekeo and Dexedrine/Zenzedi, respectively. Adderall is used in the
treatment of [attention deficit hyperactivity
disorder](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Attention_deficit_hyperactivity_disorder)
(ADHD) and [narcolepsy](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Narcolepsy). It is
also used as an [athletic performance

[cognitive enhancer](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nootropic), [appetite
