描述
Growth, imbalance, breakup. Everywhere the growth of the metropolis has reduced the landscape of the river into increasingly narrow spaces, crossed by bridges and high-voltage cables, dotted with pylons, gravel deposits, accumulations of aggregates resulting from the demolition and crushing of construction and road works, abandoned buildings and spaces.
Strolling during the last winter along the river Piave in the north-east of Italy, I met the primordial spaces evoked by the floods, sometimes observing the dawn illuminate an exhausted landscape, bent by the onslaught of a geological time, which has deformed the daily cycle of poor and unassuming nature that lives on the river bed.
This photograph belongs to a project I made during the last winter.
