This one started out as a funny little drawing late of winter few years back. It is inspired by the scandinavian troll illustrations, like one of Rolf Lidberg's that was hanging at our grandparents place, which i often admired as a kid. Beyond the surface, I think it is most of all about my desire to escape the office life i was feeling trapped in, dropping all the decorum and just enjoying life as a free being. I've been looking at the drawing from time to time and always had this gnawing feeling to do just a little bit of more to it, but it's hard to go back to an old work once you've put it out there and claimed it finished. In this case though, i decided to bend the rules a little and make a new version. Besides the little fixes here and there, this one grew antlers in the process, tying it to some of my other works and the mythical world that seems to be building up, while keeping the spirit of the original - perhaps slightly amplified.
