Work of art can never be more than the visualization of it's author's thoughts. One could say that the" value" of these thoughts lies in the Subject matter, that's what he had thought about. Or it lies in the Form, expressing the way he thought about it. In some works Form is more important than the Subject and vice versa. To combine both in a single body might be the challenge to work at.
