Where I live in Northern Australia there are only 2 seasons, wet and dry. I love the wet season, everything grows uncontrollably like the earth has released a spring, mould climbs the walls of our houses and every where there is water. Spore muses on those cycles. On fires being consumed by rain and fungus growing to eat the decaying flesh of plants and all that came before. A bubble of life until it to releases it's spores and turns to dust to wait for the rain to return next year. Spore is a performance work made in remote outback Australia on Dalabon Country outside of Bulman in the NT. Made with the permission of the Indigenous Owners of the land.
