As a young boy growing up it was always my mother by my side everyday. My father would go to work and often be home after I was asleep. Weekends were adventures with Mum and Dad but for the early years it was Mum who showed me the ropes of day to day life, keeping me close by and safe always.
The bond I have with the ocean comes from my father mostly but witnessing these special moments of mother and calf humpback whales and how they behave reminds me of my own childhood.
Mother ocean providing life to so many beautiful creatures, of which whales hold a special place in my heart.
