The motion of thousands of tiny particles of light. The particles are subject to simulated forces This piece explores the full 360 degree range of directional motion. The forces begin as repulsion forces, meaning they push all nearby particles away. Over time, the nature of the forces change into a rotational force, then into a pulling force, and finally return to a pushing force. When brought together, these points of force result in an overall composition, which cannot be entirely predicted by the artist. The majority of the work is in the motion itself - the setting of initial conditions and subsequent rules - the composition (or vector field) is a result of computation.
