Made from motion. The lines are paths which represent the motion of thousands of tiny pixel-sized particles of warm-colored light. The particles are subject to simulated forces These particular forces are spin, meaning they represent points of rotation. This causes everything near these points to rotate, or orbit. The result is swirling patterns that wind and combine. Weak forces cause large, far-reaching swirl patterns, while strong forces cause small, localized swirls. This is analogous to how gravity exerts a force over great distances, while magnets exert forces only in close range. Each particle is assigned a color, based upon its starting point. This one uses a color palette heavy in reds and greens, but light with blue. This results in mostly warm feeling colors blending as the particles move further from their origin and mix with the other particles in the crowd.
