When I woke up this morning for the first time, I reached for my phone next to my pillow and found it had run out of battery. I decided to roll over and go back to sleep. The second time I woke up, I had a dream that a good friend from university was pregnant with a child from a classmate in middle school, which startled me awake. However, the London weather these past few days has been so cold that I had no energy to get out of bed. My brain struggled for a moment, but then I pulled the covers over myself and went back to sleep. By the time I finally woke up, it was already past two o'clock in the afternoon, and I felt like I had been abandoned by time itself, unable to fully wake up for a long time.
