Her parents saw her potential and began training her in the family trade. Elise grew into a skilled thief, and by the time she was a teenager, she was pulling off daring heists with ease. She quickly gained a reputation among the criminal underworld, and soon established herself as one of the most successful thieves in Marseilles. However, Elise's criminal activities eventually caught up with her, and she was captured by the city guard. She was sentenced to death, but managed to escape before her execution could take place. Now a fugitive, Elise continued to operate as a thief while evading capture. She pulled off some of her most impressive heists during this time, including stealing the royal jewels from the palace itself. Elise's legend eventually reached the ears of a powerful sorceress, who offered to help her evade capture permanently in exchange for her services. Elise agreed, and using powerful magic, the sorceress transformed her into a cat-like creature known as a felineus. As a felineus, Elise possessed heightened agility and reflexes, allowing her to easily evade capture. She also had sharp claws and teeth that could be used as weapons if necessary. The transformation made her even more successful as a thief, and she quickly become one of the most feared criminals in all of Marseilles.
