Wisse Scheele is a dancer and multi-disciplinary artist born in the Netherlands. He works with motion-design, dance, film and paint. Since an early age Scheele has always aspired to be a ballet dancer and at the age of 10 he joined the Dutch National Ballet Academy. Scheele graduated in 2022 from the Dutch National Ballet Academy and is now dancing with the Slovak National Ballet. Alongside his passion to dance, Wisse always had an urge to create his own work, searching for new and different ways to express his emotions. In this journey he discovered that it was possible to transfer movements to a digital world by recording his movement with motion capture software. Dance is the main focus in almost all of Wisse Scheele’s work. The drive behind his creations is the challenge to find new ways and possibilities to re-envision dance and the way it is perceived. By bringing dance to the virtual 3D space he has created a place without boundaries or limitations where he has all the freedom to tell his stories.
