描述
Las Sin Sombrero is a piece inspired by the documentary of the same name, directed by Tània Balló, Manuel Jiménez, and Serrana Torres.
It tells the story of a group of female artists from the first half of the 20th century who were erased from history due to the Spanish Civil War in 1936.
Las Sin Sombrero were brave women who broke established norms and fought in their own way for women's rights. Their lives and works are fundamental to understanding the history of our country.
Friends and contemporaries of the Generation of ’27—figures such as Dalí, Buñuel, Federico García Lorca, or Rafael Alberti—they possessed talent and a voice uniquely their own, equal to that of their male counterparts.
It is time to give them the recognition they deserve and complete the historical narrative.
This is a horizontal and animated version of the original work (Portales de No Retorno) created for an event last November in Tarragona, Spain for Unesco.
