I grew up on the Great Barrier Reef wandering in rock pools, collecting shells on island beaches and diving in a crystal clear ocean alive with underwater gardens. Inspired by these coral microcosms, this collection reflects the indelible mark making of traditional Chinese painting. Created in collaboration with AI using purely textual prompts formed through a process of deconstructing and recontextualising an ancient Chinese instructional text on painting intertwined with my poetry of personal somatic and visual memory.
