Mercedes-Benz NXT Icons as digital collectibles are digital re-interpretations of Mercedes-Benz's most iconic designs. The design of this card is based on the Mercedes-Benz CLS 500:
With the Vision CLS, Mercedes-Benz presented the concept of a four-door luxury-class coupé at the IAA 2003. Shortly after the successful world premiere of the Vision CLS show car, the almost 1:1 realized series production version of the CLS appeared in showrooms in autumn 2004. For the first time ever, the unique vehicle concept combines elegance and dynamism of a coupé, with the comfort and functionality of a saloon. Not only did the CLS 500 provide a superior and powerful drive, but it also proved to be a design piece for long-haul routes, and a gem of automotive engineering. With the CLS, Mercedes-Benz successfully led the way in the modern renaissance of the four-door coupé, which inspired numerous other manufacturers to introduce four-door coupé models in their turn. Still to this day, twenty years later, this pioneering work can be experienced.
