This work belongs to the COLLECTION "India ink and metaverse: 2500a.c-2500d.c". It includes 33 artworks (16 physical paintings, 16 digital animations and a video) the set of works wich were exhibited at the Polvorin in the Ciudadela in Pamplona (Spain) from July 27th to September 11th, 2022. A digital twin of the exhibition can be enjoyed in metaverse which is available from my website: https://www.naroa-armendariz.com The title of the collection refers to the union of the ancient and the futuristic: the group of works revolves around an ancestral technique, India ink, which enchanted me in 2010 when I started working with it. Added to this is the immersion in digital technology with the use of the metaverse and digital animations. From the use of the characters in the animations I am interested in the fact that, through them, the work automatically looks like a 3D space in which you can dive, fly or move. For me abstract paintings have always had a three-dimensional nature in which I can immerse myself, with the animations this spatiality is transmitted in a simple way. On the other hand, the characters bring closeness, humor and lightness to a work that is deep, committed and serious. Animations: 291, 292, 293, 293, 294, 295, 296, 297, 298, 299, 300, 301, 302, 303, 303, 304, 306, 307 Video: 198 ------------------------- Esta obra pertenece a la COLECCIÓN “Tinta china y metaverso: 2500a.c-2500d.c”. En ella se recogen 33 piezas artísticas (16 cuadros físicos, 16 animaciones digitales y un video) que son el conjunto de obras expuestas en la sala física del Polvorín de la Ciudadela de Pamplona (España) del 27 de julio al 11 de septiembre de 2022. La exposición se puede disfrutar en una sala gemela en metaverso que está disponible desde mi página web: https://www.naroa-armendariz.com El título de la colección hace referencia a la unión entre lo milenario y lo futurista: el conjunto de obras gira en torno a una técnica ancestral, la tinta china, que me hechizó en el año 2010 cuando comencé a trabajar con ella. A esto se le une la inmersión en la tecnología digital con el uso del metaverso y las animaciones digitales. Del uso de los monigotes en las animaciones me interesa el hecho de que, a través de éstos, la obra automáticamente se ve como un espacio 3D en el que poder bucear, volar o moverse. Para mí los cuadros abstractos siempre han tenido un carácter tridimensional en el que poder sumergirme, con los monigotes se transmite esta espacialidad de manera sencilla. Por otro lado los monigotes aportan cercanía, humor y ligereza a un trabajo que es profundo, comprometido y serio.
