描述
Sunrise in Patagonia in Argentina. I captured this image near the campground after the long hiking and several cold nights in the tent. The mountains in the background are the famous Cerro Torre. Cerro Torre is arguably the world’s most controversial mountain in the world of climbing. The top of Cerro Torre often has a mushroom of rime ice which formed by the constant strong winds, and this increases the difficulty of reaching the actual summit. Cesare Maestri claimed that he and Toni Egger had reach the summit in 1959, but the first undisputed ascent was made by Daniele Chiappa, Mario Conti, Casimiro Ferrari and Pino Negri in 1974.
