This is a FREE mint. Intended to be accessible. Awful Art: Where Canvas Meets A.I. by Jkwest features 2344 AI variations developed from 18 individual acrylic paintings. A.I. is powerful, we all get that. But how do we make it matter. In this case I think it’s vitally important to tie the work to something real and handmade. I’ve been calling my paintings seeds because A.I. can create vast expanses of work, but only I can create my canvases. Nobody can splash and spin and drip the paint the same way. It’s like my finger print. Or like a seed. The AI prompt is like the water and sunlight necessary for a plant to grow. Each individual piece is unique yet attached to the origin like a leaf on a tree. Intended to challenge the notion of A.I. art being "real" or not. Is A.I. art real?
