EQ 25 was captured in Belgium during a dedicated photography trip. Though I have a keen appreciation for crisp, clean design and shiny new architecture, this love is equally matched by my intrigue towards the memories contained in each brick and broken pane found in these ghost houses. Though none of the places that I have visited have seemed haunted, you can’t help but think about those who passed through these spaces and each of their stories.
This trip took place over a number of days. My friends and I visited as many locations as we could over a short period of time. Belgium was an interesting place to visit as it had been the aftermath of a recession, which had lead to many buildings falling into heavy disrepair. So much so, that after a while and to my surprise, the appeal of some of these buildings actually lost a little of their charm. That being said, I love exploring and do not regret these parts of the trip. It is the nature of the beast and a huge part of the journey.
