Collateral Vault Accounting. There are 3 main accounts to track Genius Credit:
1. Total Issued
2. Total Settled
3. Total Cleared
Where Total Issued >= Total Settled >= Total Cleared. If these 3 accounts are equal in value, then the accounts all reset to the value "0", effectively "exiling" (or expelling) the values. When Genius Credit is settled, the accounting for it is "exiled", which in this context means that the amount of credit is not guaranteed to remain in the accounting.
Furthermore, each collateral that is accepted into the vault also has its own set of these 3 accounts, and there is also a calculated account that accounts for the "Unsettled Genius Credit". The Unsettled Genius Credit is always equal to the Total Issued minus the Total Settled.
