Looking back at a section of a four-kilometre hike up through the rainforest jungle of Krabi, after two hours with a fifteen-kilogram backpack full of camera gear to reach the top of Dragons Crest Mountain, one of the most spectacular views of this region.
Reaching this location is a very challenging mission, picking your way through tree roots that act as natural staircases created by torrential monsoon rains.
I would not recommend doing this with a heavy load, but personally, this image means more, knowing the massive physical effort required to reach this position in the intense humidity and return back down safely.
Thailand is a special place on earth.
A country that inadvertently has changed the path of my life for the better. My visits here have been solo and, for the most part, unplanned, leading to some incredible cultural experiences. Unprepared for the stunningly dramatic tropical landscape, ancient temples, vibrant nightlife, and warmth of people who are also masters of cuisine, my time here has become a photographical study of this incredible place.
These are my favourite moments captured in the beautifully chaotic charm of a land that seems to nurture one's soul.
Siam - the Kingdom of Thailand.
