“a2p was a project from before the NFT craze, but Nicolas Sassoon’s video work had characteristics that would soon be seen in many later NFT works. The images of objects rotating in a fixed frame make the viewer feel the image as an “object,” making it easy to have a sense of ‘owning’ that image. Many NFT works are likewise in this format because it reminds us of an object that is there forever, unlike a film, which has a story or camera cuts.
