Ingrid Ylva was born to a family of rune carvers in a small village in the shadow of the mountains. From a young age, she showed an aptitude for magic and an interest in the ancient runes. Her parents apprenticed her to the village runemaster, and she quickly learned the basics of rune carving and magic. As she grew older, Ingrid began to feel restless. With each new discovery, Ingrid's reputation as a powerful runemaster grew. One day, while exploring a dark cave, Ingrid and her friends were ambushed by a group of bandits. The mage fought valiantly against her attackers, but was outnumbered and outmatched. Just when it seemed like all hope was lost, Ingrid rallied her remaining strength and carved a powerful rune into the ground. A bright light flashed, momentarily blinding everyone present. When it faded, Ingrid's attackers were gone - teleported away by the magical rune she had created. This act of heroism cemented Ingrid's reputation as one of the most powerful mages in the land. She continued to adventure with her friends for many years, uncovering long-forgotten relics and discovering new ways to use her runes.
