Description
Day to day chained to my desk, sometimes I feel dead inside. But my heart has a secret: This is not the true me. Looking at the clock, I eagerly count the hours until I can return home and come alive again.

# [BuddyBuddy]
By day, "BuddyBuddy" is a self-proclaimed office drone, navigating the predictable rhythms of consulting, where every day is the same and everything unfolds according to plan. By night, however, he transforms into a fervent artist, his studio apartment pulsating with the explosive beats of gangster rap and punk rock—sounds that starkly contrast his daytime persona. Blasted through headphones, these rhythms fuel his imagination during long night walks through the city to check out graffiti or spy on the "After Hours" scene—the moments after the clubs close but before the sun rises- when the streets buzz with the energy of those not ready to end the night.
The name "BuddyBuddy" harkens back to a popular messaging app from his youth, reflecting the artist’s preference for interacting behind online avatars. All grown up, his shy, reserved personality still finds solace in the digital world, where he feels most at home “After Hours,” away from the mundane reality of the office and immersed in the communities he cherishes. Inspired by graffiti legends like Basquiat and Lee Quinones and an avid collector of NFTs, BuddyBuddy is more active on Discord and other online platforms than in real life, engaging deeply with the digital art community. After reaching out to Orangehare, this exhibition marks the first time he’s shown his own canvas work in digital form, capturing the essence of those fleeting, liberating hours when the clock is all punched out.
