Description
This principle is the foundation of our thought, practice, and creative logic. It is the concept that reality is fluid and subject to individual perception. We aim to capture this transient nature of things.
The principle of ‘anything can be anything’ applies to everyday objects and experiences that we transform into unexpected compositions and shapes, playing with the Surrealist technique of trompe l'oeil. For instance, a brick can become a yoyo, and a yoyo can become a brain.
But the concept goes deeper than that. Beyond the play on everyday life, ‘anything can be anything’ refers to the laws of particle physics and the idea that we and the entire universe are connected by atoms and matter. We are, quite literally, everything, and anything can be us.
Each work based on this principle features three unique objects. In this piece, we have reimagined a Zoetrope, a Lucky Cat and a fried egg.
