Background This piece is light-hearted gift for a Funky Froggo Club member’ son—an aspiring pilot—and is inspired by the classic American comedy movie, “Airplane!” (1980). This piece satirizes the turbulent NFT space in 2021, such as high gas transactions and the NFT space’s incessant focus on the “all-time high” (ATH) prices of seemingly every project. The frantic nature of that bull market (and subsequent bear) was not so dissimilar from the movie in which the characters navigated a disaster with a mix of brazen foolishness and sheer luck. Of course, hilarity ensued and eventually the crisis was averted, but only barely. Will the web3 space continue to be turbulent, too?
