UKRAINE REFUGEE AUCTION --
All proceeds from the sale of this image will go directly into the hands of Ukrainians trying to get out of the country. My sister lived in Ukraine, and I lived in Romania, we have contacts that are known personally who are finding refugees in Ukraine and driving them to the boarders. They need money to help cover costs for everything from food to hotel rooms, to cars. Follow Nancee Tegeder on Facebook and Instagram for regular updates with the personal contacts and how they are using the donations (https://www.facebook.com/nancee.tegeder).
I took this image of the California Nebula with my personal telescope setup in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA. The total exposure time is ~1.5 hours. Multiple filters were used to bring out the chemical composition and structure of the nebula. No paintbrush or local photoshop effects were used. This majestic nebula (resembling the shape of California) is in our Milky Way galaxy, about 1,000 light years away from earth.
