I began working on "New Beginnings" with the idea and title already set before I started creating the animations, inspired by a hopeful fresh start after tough times. What began as a hopeful journey with a beautiful start took an unexpected turn, evolving into something entirely opposite to my initial expectations. By the time I finished the artwork, the idea was clear—it's about losing that hopeful start but still going on despite the disappointment and pain, to keep carrying on even when that hope is lost.
To be able to sit down in a quiet place and allow all these waves of emotions to come out without resorting to drowning them in alcohol or other distractions. To let these emotions humble you and make you more empathetic instead of angry and resentful, to forgive yourself. And to realize that on some days, this very idea may seem like a lie you tell yourself, but the trick is to recognize it's just another wave. That, to me, is true strength.
