Description
Celia, Bolivia, 2013. The inhabitants of Isla del Sol, Bolivia, located in the middle of Lago Titicaca (highest navigable lake and largest one in South America) are crucially lacking drinking water. They have to carry huge unsalted water containers from the lakeshore. They wrap them in typical wool pink fabric that they buy or exchange at the local market. All bolivians wear these hats to hide from the sun (extremely agressive at 3,800 meters). Finding drinking water is their main concern.
