I can still see the headline from the Associated Press now. "Michael Jordan retires at the age of 40 for the third and final time." Michael Jordan, the greatest basketball player of all time, officially left the court on April 16, 2003. To commemorate the 20-year anniversary, I present a moment captured at one of MJ's final games as a Washington Wizard, sporting his famous #23 jersey. I was invited to come to one of his last games in D.C. to bring my camera courtside after our request to photograph Michael in a studio was not possible. The game was a win for the Wizards, and MJ's greatness was still shining all over the court. My Canon F1 and Kodak Tri-X 400 film were pushed to the limit, and the other photographers next to me were curious about me shooting film and not having a 600mm lens. For me, all that mattered was capturing my moment with the GOAT.
