Description
OGOG: "Old Guy Original Gangst(er)a" , I'm 75 years old. I bought my first computer in 1978. I wrote and illustrated the first children's book ever created in color on a computer (pre-Photoshop, 8-bit color with no anti-aliasing, and nobody could figure out how to get the files onto the printed page until the last minute). And I minted my first NFT with SuperRare in 2018.
But now I seem to be facing exclusionary ageism because I had a long and successful career as a professional artist, which apparently makes me one of the perceived enemies of CryptoArt.
So in some ways, this is a self-portrait, though IRL, I have a full beard and haven't worn a suit and tie for decades. The quill pens represent my status as a crossover artist, and the army helmet with odd, virus-like protrusions and propeller represent the battle I face in holding onto my creative spirit as I struggle to survive this battle of wills.
