Description
I just discovered an abandoned warehouse by my house, just in time for Pere Dedu, a long-time friend and renowned graffiti artist, to visit me in Paris. We decide to check it out together. We jump over the fence, pass the bag of paint, and take a tour of the place. We come across a massive blue wall, roughly 25 square meters. It's now or never; either we paint it immediately or risk it being tagged before we return. We decide to act. Using a roller with a pole as a makeshift compass, we start with a circle inside a square to maximize the surface and give the composition room to breathe. I handle the head, Pere Dedu focuses on the eyes and mouth, and together we create a striking piece of art.

# [Drol]
At some point, unfamiliar but beautiful graffiti began to take over the underpasses, rooftops, and streets of Seoul, and at the center of it all was the artist Drol. A French-born graffiti virtuoso who made Korea his home in 2016, he began transforming Seoul’s underpasses, rooftops, and streets with his unique style—a blend of underground comics and 19th-century European painting. Embracing elements of rap, hip-hop, and classic comics, Drol turns forgotten corners into whimsical worlds of fantasy and fairy tales, establishing himself as a prominent figure in Korean graffiti. His versatility extends beyond the streets to illustrations, exhibitions, installations, and tattoos. Having participated in France's International Biennale and various residencies, Drol collaborates on projects celebrating Franco-Korean relations and works with industry giants like Sony Pictures and Mini Cooper. His artist name, reflecting a playful duality, embodies his transition from 'DROL' (kid) to 'LORD' (absolute one).
