ABOUT THIS COLLECTION:
A few years ago I made the decision to leave the corporate world and move out of the city. We now live in the middle of nowhere in the very South of Africa. I like to call it “country bumpkinland and THIS… is where the wildflowers grow.
I have a very strong emotional pull toward my late mom who was my best friend. A yearning to bring her quiet presence closer to me and embrace the simple beauties of life which I hold close to my heart because of her.
She was an incredible artist and green fingers. If she wasnt out in nature, she was painting it. For her and for myself, I want to spend my days creating art that lifts my spirits and that of those around me. That is what inspires this collection.
It will become an ongoing visual diary - whimsical depictions of the beauty which I am blessed to be surrounded with here on a daily basis and artistic expressions of the facets of life which keep my soul alive and deepen my connection to the things which truly matter.
SPECS:
Each piece in this collection is minted at 5000 x 5000 px. / 350 dpi - however, should you ever wish to do something physical with a piece you own which requires larger (proportionate) dimensions - I am more than happy to supply you with a file at the required size. Simply drop me a dm on Twitter (@sberryspiced) and I will gladly assist.
A WORD FROM THE ARTIST:
This is a collection for the people who truly appreciate my art. It is not a space for anyone to come and make a “quick buck”. I have made the decision to keep the prices of my art reasonable so that people who resonate with it can actually afford it. I won't be pressured or influenced by floor price.
I am also faced with the reality that I am a full time artist and it is my art which supports my son and myself. So, in order to keep my art affordable for the people who really hold a passion for it AND to keep my life as an artist sustainable - I have made the decision to mint a handful of editions for each piece. I know in my heart that those who truly appreciate art and the lives of the people who create it, will understand this - and I thank you.
