***Two Ten*** Serious Shots Fired The abstract painting is a vibrant and lively composition of bold blue and yellow colours. The blues range from deep navy to bright cobalt, creating a sense of depth and movement. The free flow yellows are equally bold, adding warmth and vibrancy to the piece. The brushstrokes and textures are bold and energetic, adding a dynamic feel of motion. Overall, the painting is a lively and dynamic exploration of colour and form. Painted in 2005 the artwork is part of an original 10-part series. Eventually, 6 of the 10 were chosen to form the series, LIFE ON EARTH. This is painting number 6 of 6. IRL, measuring 510mm X 410mm. Inspiration was drawn from street art and pop culture, with the use of spray cans and stencils. The work of American painter Franz Kline was highly influential when setting out the original 'blueprint' of the series.
