I stands for iSM in ‘iSM architects’
TYPE I is an actually-built project by the iSM architects.
The house in South Korea has been modified to be implanted to the Island HOLA.
The land has 0.75m gap between the upper and the lower part. This slope becomes as a leverage to provide steps on the door of the house.
Its vertical point of view is an experiment of conditional 'step-up' and situational 'plug-in' city. TYPE I is a typical iSM designed building using the land condition as an architectural element and forming a visually opened indoor spaces.
