Description
Walking through shallow water on a warm spring
night, every footstep crunching the salt crust below
the surface, not a breath of wind, mosquitoes buzzing,
a perfect place to stop and gaze.
The sun has set and the last bit of light starts to diminish.
Stars begin to glisten and the universe is ready to wake up,
albeit the Milky Way has started to part ways from our
sky for the night.
Time will keep moving, day will turn to night, night will turn
to day and the cycle will keep repeating.
But this moment, this moment is still forever.
